From Community Connect
The Community Connect group is proud to report on another fun and successful event - the Year 8 Family Trivia and Music night on 31 May. Special thanks to the Year 8 music groups and solo performers who entertained the crowd (and to Mr Chesser for the set-up), to our fabulous host Isabella Valette, and to North Melbourne Woolies for generously donating so many prizes. Finally, congratulations to the winners - a great night was had by all.
Of course, these events don't come about without the effort put in by our exceptional volunteer parents - keep an eye on the St Al's Community Connect Facebook page if you'd like to be involved. It's a great way to meet other families and contribute to our children's high school experience.
Results have come in for the Years 9, 10 and 11 events survey and Community Connect will be planning the next event accordingly. We have also been discussing how we can contribute to the Year 12s in their final year at the College, starting with donations of goods to their market stall.
Community Connect members will be attending each performance of the upcoming College Musical - please come find us at the table at the back and introduce yourselves! We are always keen to hear your thoughts.
Finally, we are also looking into running a sausage sizzle fundraiser at the school one lunchtime - please reach out to your year level representative or to president_cc@aloysius.vic.edu.au if you'd like to be involved!
