From Community Connect
Thanks to all the parents who came along to the July Community Connect meeting. We are only halfway through the year, and have already ticked off the majority of our goals for 2024. You will next find members from the committee at the upcoming Father’s Day breakfast in August; and we are planning another social event (for middle school families) for September.
Remember if there’s any school community initiative or event you’d like to suggest or be involved with, you can reach us on the St Aloysius Community Connect Facebook page, or by emailing president_cc@aloysius.vic.edu.au or your year level committee representative. And if you’ve always been interested to come to a meeting but haven’t done so yet, you are always welcome to see what it’s about so feel free to contact us for the meeting details.
Are you (or would you like to be) a committee executive? At the AGM in November this year our current office bearers will be finishing-up their two-year terms, so there will be an opportunity to elect a new President, Secretary and Treasurer from the committee. Having “chair of the board” as one of your skills looks great on your CV too! Please join us for a meeting if you’d be interested to see what these roles entail, or email to discuss. Whether in an executive role or as a general committee member, joining Community Connect is a great way to meet other parents, contribute to your child’s school experience and be more connected to the school.
