From the Deputy Principal
What a wonderfully positive ending to Term 3 culminating in a special Mercy Day which saw highest student attendance numbers and a mood in the College Hall that acknowledged and celebrated House spirit, competition and our Mercy heritage.
Winners from the various House co-curricular activities were announced each contributing to the annual House Cup. House STEM Competition resulted in a successful and creative machine that saw Fallon students, Marlo Cash, Emily Johnston and Annabelle Mather take the win. The finalists from the House Performing Arts Competition performed in front of the packed assembly with Year 7 student Tiffany Paules singing her way to first prize for Verdon. Whilst it is impossible to rank Charities against each other, the winning proposal for the House Social Justice Project included an in depth understanding of their House Charity and the link with our Mercy Values. The House Social Justice Project winners went to Nina and Sofia Cutuli of Verdon and finally, the House Art Competition was taken out by Laura Nguyen of Scully.
Keeping the theme of celebrating student success, I draw attention to our Celebration Evening, Monday 25th November. This year we are returning to Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, gathering all Years 7-11 students to celebrate our collective achievements for 2024 in front of their parents and carers. More details will be published next term.
