From the Year 8 Leader
Welcome back to St Aloysius! We hope our Year 8 community had a fantastic break and are feeling refreshed and ready for a new start. The start of a new year is always filled with possibilities and opportunities for growth. Remember that each day is a chance to learn something new, set achievable goals, explore new connections with peers and embrace change. It was brilliant to see our Year 8 students display a positive energy around the school grounds in their first week back.
Our Year 8 Pastoral Team are:
- 8A – Claudia Schiliro
- 8B – Maria Cunnington
- 8C – Andrea Barr & Tom Madden
- 8D – Daniel Sullivan
- 8E – Chris Needle & Rina Prinzi
- 8F - Joanna Grujovski & Kim Sue Hendry
The Year 8 students arrived on Wednesday 31st, proudly wearing the College academic uniform for school photos in the morning. Pastoral and House Assemblies followed, with students having an opportunity to deliver speeches for Class Co-Captains and House Leaders. In their House Assemblies the Year 8 students were excited to also sign up for the upcoming House Swimming Carnival on the Wednesday 14th February. The Year 8 students had timetabled classes for the remainder of the day and were excited to continue their love of learning a different language in either French, Italian or Japanese.
As we embark on this new year together, let's approach each day with enthusiasm and dedication. I look forward to a year of growth, learning, and endless possibilities with our Year 8 students.
