From Year 10
This fortnight marked a significant milestone as we wrapped up the Year 10 academic year for 2024 and began the Step Ahead program, commencing Year 11. Farewell 2024 Day featured a student-led liturgy, celebrating student achievements through the presentation of awards and our final year level assembly. Furthermore, students participated in a session that focused on enhancing their literacy skills, which are vital for their future success. They were also inspired by Year 12 students returning after their VCE exams, who shared valuable insights and experiences about navigating their senior years. This event not only celebrated our students’ journeys but also prepared them for the challenges ahead, reinforcing our commitment to their growth and development.
The highlight of the fortnight was undoubtedly the Year 10 Farewell Social which was a truly remarkable success. It was indeed a memorable evening to conclude the Year 10 academic year with music, dance, delicious food and drinks, a fun photo booth, and each other’s company. I would like to thank all the students, especially our dedicated Class Co-Captains, for their assistance in creating such a fantastic experience for everyone.
Step Ahead has commenced this week, and I wish this wonderful cohort all the best as they move into Year 11.
January Ma
Year 10 Leader
We wrapped up Year 10 starting with a locker cleanout and a final Year 10 farewell liturgy. It was a good way to reflect on the past year, with awards given and Ms Ma making us all tear up with her thoughtful sentences about each and every one of us. After lunch, information about VCE was given by our new year level leader. We also received tips from past year 12s on how to prepare for the next two years ahead, which was helpful and informative. Then after school, we had our Year 10 social, which was a fun night full of food, dancing and overall a great time to spend the last day of year 10 as a cohort. We thank Ms Ma again for all her efforts put into such a fun, memorable night. Overall, the day was spent reflecting on the year we've had and an opportunity to look forward to the next chapter of our education.
