From Year 7
Why do we have the TLC Program at St Aloysius College?
The TLC program is designed first and for most to make the transition into Secondary school smooth. Research has shown that this stage can be challenging we aim to combat that by creating a program that helps each student feel that they belong to school community.
We work closely with Primary schools around Melbourne with some students having already meet the Transition Leader/ Year Level Leader prior to enrolling in the College. The TLC program is designed to get to know each student individually also designed to help them make connections with peers who may live in their local area.
The small group sessions give students and parents an opportunity to be welcomed into the school community, meet with others living in the same area and to start making connections/friendships, which will help the students and parents smoothly transition into Secondary School.
