From Year 7
In Religious Education this term we have been learning about the story of creation. In particular, we have examined how we can “care for our common home”. Laudato Si': On Care for Our Common Home is the new appeal from Pope Francis addressed to "every person living on this planet" for an inclusive dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. Pope Francis calls the Church and the world to acknowledge the urgency of our environmental challenges and to join him in embarking on a new path. This encyclical is written with both hope and resolve, looking to our common future with candor and humility.

God and People in Creation
In religion, we were asked to do a presentation about a religion and caring for the environment. My group researched the Islamic tradition. We then went further to explore the effect of air pollution and what the Islamic traditions stance on the environment is. Air pollution is affecting our world right this second, and it isn’t going to stop if we don’t do something about it. We have learned so much about different religions and about the effect of climate change. - Zoe Mullins 7A
