From Year 7
Our Year 7 students flew through their orientation and have completed their first weeks of secondary school at St Aloysius College. The once shy and nervous newcomers have settled in quickly and confidently and are now beginning to show off their individual personalities.
Key highlights so far for the Year 7s have been exploring their new campus and interacting with students from other year levels as well as trying all of their new classes, meeting their teachers and travelling off campus for ACS sport.
This week, The STRIVE Program has taken over the campus, with our students exploring a range of topics. From tackling social pressure with Luke Kennedy to our Year 7 Time Capsule, it has been action-packed. While students have been having authentic moments in school, it has been outside of school where the action has been happening. The Year 7 Olympics which involved class v class challenges including Tug ‘O’ War and Tunnel Ball, was a competitive affair. Success was widespread and many are awaiting a rematch!
Coming up for our Year 7s is the exciting opportunity to attend their first overnight camp as high school students. Students have been gearing up to try new adventures and meet new people as they fly through the air on the Giant Swing, try not to get wet during the Raft Making activity and so much more.
