From Year 7
It’s the crown jewel of our Year Seven students' week and it's been wonderful to witness the Year 7s embrace ACS Sport with such enthusiasm this term. The energy and excitement on Tuesday afternoons, as students head off to compete, is infectious.
For some, this is their first experience of inter-school competition and others, a big step up. They are relishing the opportunity to represent the school and grow their skills. It's been particularly pleasing to see the strong start across a range of sports this week, with notable wins in Girls Tennis, Boys Table Tennis, and Boys Basketball.
These early wins are a testament to both the talent and dedication of our students and the coaches who guide them. Beyond the results, however, it's the positive attitude and sportsmanship displayed by our Year 7s that has been most impressive. They are quickly learning what it means to be part of a team and represent the school with pride. This early success and positive engagement bodes well for the future of ACS Sport with the school seeing big improvements across the board.
We are excited to see these students continue to develop their skills and contribute to the sporting culture of the school in the years to come.
Here from some of our students about their experiences so far!

Dear parents/carers staff and students, my name is Aisha, and I am here to tell you about volleyball for ACS term 1. I believe ACS volleyball is a great opportunity to hang out with friends and teachers bonding over different sports you enjoy and like to play. All teachers make it a great and fun experience while training and preparing for games on Tuesday to play volleyball. It's a great time to build fitness and play a sport outside of your comfort zone if you haven't played before. All the coaches have supported me heaps and have given me helpful pointers and feedback if needed. Volleyball has been a great experience to be on a team and work together with others boosting our teamwork skills. Volleyball Term 1 has been a blast already and I can’t wait to continue with it in term 4.

My name is Joseph, and I am here to tell you about ACS. Leading up to high school the thing I have been most excited for is ACS. It has been a great opportunity to meet new friends and improve my skills as well as that we get to meet students from other schools even. Though we have won our first two games (in Cricket) I am sure there will be some great competition out there, and that we will make some great memories.

Hello, all Parents, Teachers and Students, my name is Kiara. I love the opportunities ACS gives to connect and meet new people while playing a range of different sports. The kind teachers always make it a friendly and inclusive environment and whatever your sporting abilities are, you will always feel like you belong. ACS also gives students a chance to improve their skills and hand-eye coordination in groups with their friends and fellow peers. I play tennis and so far, my team has won most of their matches, there are some great competitors out there and I am very excited to play them all.

ACS is a great program and I chose to do Basketball because I knew it was a fun sport and also a great opportunity to meet new people. Because of this I have already made some great new friends, it’s also a great opportunity to meet people from different schools. The sportsmanship shown by different teams gave a nice reassurance to be the best athlete that I can be, because respect is a two-way street. It has been great so far as we have not only cheered on our own team but also the other St Aloysius team as well. I hope that our team does well this season, but either way I know we will still have a blast.
