From Year 8
With a renewed sense of enthusiasm, dedication, and unity, we are poised to make Term 4 a period of continued success and personal development for all members of our school community. As we embark on the fourth term of this academic year, we have a multitude of engaging activities and opportunities planned for our students. In Humanities, students are researching historically significant artists and scientists of the Renaissance. They are exploring how individuals like Michelangelo, Botticelli, Galileo, and Copernicus changed the arts and sciences, and how their art, ideas and inventions impacted the world today.
Over the holidays the Year 8 students had many of their creations featured at the Royal Melbourne Show. The meticulous attention to detail evident in the culinary creations, fashion pieces, and artwork was truly remarkable, reflecting an exceptionally high standard of craftsmanship. It is with great pleasure that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the students who represented our college and received well-deserved awards for their outstanding contributions. See photos below. Congratulations and a job well done to the following students:

Year 8 Team Leader
This year the year 8s got the amazing opportunity in textiles to produce our own bags. We used our visual diary for mood boards and continued using the sewing machine. Every single one of the year 8s finished with wonderfully produced bags that everyone had put so much effort into. Some year 8s had the opportunity of having their tote bags displayed in the Royal Melbourne Show. The following year 8 students won awards for their efforts and impressive bags:
Gemma Lehane won first place with her Bowie Tote Bag
Nora Daley won second place with her Moon Messenger Bag
Gracie Scott won third place with a Two-Way Reversible Tote
Alisa Webb and Erika Binuya were also highly commended for their designs.
Each year 8 student produced an impressive tote bag, many of which were displayed at the arts exhibit. We all learnt valuable skills and the class was engaging and enjoyable!
