From Year 9
I hope that everyone enjoyed the festive Easter Holiday break. It was so lovely to have an extra long break with the ANZAC Day long weekend. I find ANZAC Day to be a truly reflective day as we remember those who put their lives on the line for us and we remember those serving our country today. I hope that you were able to find a reflective moment on this day to remember. On our return to school on the Wednesday we had a liturgy to pause and reflect as a community. We will always remember.
We have had a great start to the term. There has already been a lot of inter school sporting events and yesterday we had a Year 9 House Trivia Quiz at lunchtime. It was fantastic to see such a large turnout. The Trivia Quiz was run by the Year 12 Prefects and was a great way to create House Spirit. Well done to the Year 12 Prefects and to all the Year 9 students that attended.

Year 9 Leader
The first two weeks of Term 2 have been a very fun and exciting time. We have started our new electives for the Trimester which has been really enjoyable. On Wednesday the 26th of April, we had our ANZAC Day liturgy. One of the students in Year 9, Polly-Jean Butterfield, played the trumpet during ‘The Last Post’. This week, students in Year 9 took part in a house quiz to earn points for their House. On Thursday 4th of May, students that tried out and selected for the Badminton team went to compete against other schools in the SCSA competition. We are looking forward to the next few weeks on Term 2.
