An inspiring commencement

From Year 9

Welcome back to St Aloysius! We trust that our Year 9 community enjoyed a rejuvenating break and is now ready for a new school year. I am very excited to be their Year Level Leader again and to support them on their journey as life-long learners. The start of this new year brings numerous opportunities for personal growth and development. Each day presents a chance to acquire new knowledge, set achievable goals, foster new friendships and adapt positively to change. It has been inspiring to witness our Year 9 students present such enthusiasm on the first day back to the College.

Our Year 9 Pastoral Team are:

  • 9A – Lachlan Coburn
  • 9B – Andrea Barr
  • 9C – Abby Hoffman
  • 9D – Dianne Martin & Marie-Claire Anastasiadis
  • 9E – Dylan Peters
  • 9F – Damien Blomeley

The Year 9 students arrived on Friday 31st January, proudly wearing the College uniform. The students had the opportunity in the morning to spend quality time with their Pastoral Leaders and peers, followed by House Assemblies where students presented their speeches for House Leaders. The Year 9 students had timetabled classes for the remainder of the day and were excited to support their continued passion for learning a language whether it be French, Italian, or Japanese.

As we begin this new school year, let us embrace each day with a positive mindset and draw inspiration from our 2025 school theme: 'Never Be Afraid of the Unknown.’
