Building Works
The College continues to be extremely busy in both getting facilities ready for the move across to Co-Education in 2023 and beyond as well as ensuring there is continual improvement to existing offerings.
During the Term break the College has installed four new Shade Sails in the East Courtyard providing shade for students and staff during the summer months as well as increasing the number of learning spaces throughout the College. This was completed under the State Government Shade Sail Grant Program announced in November last year as a method to assist schools in Covid proofing their campuses.
As part of the 2023 preparedness program the College commenced upgrading its amenities throughout the College at the start of 2022 including toilet facilities throughout the College and Gym, creation of new student air lock, replacement of the staircase servicing the B Block and the creation of a new first aid area to cater for both Girls and Boys .
The works to all these areas were completed by the start of Term 2 and the first aid room will be operational once it has been fully fitted out.
In addition we are working with the College Architects, Hayball to deliver a Masterplan that will take us through the transition to being a fully Co-educational education establishment by 2028 and we hope to be able to share, over the next few months extracts of this exciting journey with our College Community.
