ACS Sport

The ACS Summer Season resumed in the first week of term and some of our teams had some amazing results.

The Year 7 Girls Soccer team continue to be a dominant force with an 8-1 victory against Overnewton. Our Year 8 Volleyball teams achieved a clean sweep against St Michael’s, with all securing strong wins.

We look forward to more results going our way as we continue the summer season!

CGSAV Table Tennis

On Wednesday 11th October, our Intermediate Table Tennis team competed in the CGSAV Table Tennis competition. The team had some early morning training sessions which helped them in preparation for the day. There was some great serves, forehands, and backhands throughout the day. The team did well as they progressed through to the Semi-Finals against Marian College but unfortunately were defeated in a close battle. Congratulations to all students who competed on the day!

Personal Achievement: Polly Jean Butterfield (9C)

Polly is a keen rower who has been rowing four days a week this year, as well as competing. She had a great introduction to rowing in the 22-23 season, some good wins and plenty of places and learning. She trained all winter and at the Club's Triathlon in mid August (Ergo, Time Trial Row on river, Time Trial street bike ride) PJ placed first amongst all the girls. She's continued to train with focus and on Sunday 7th Oct she did her first 4000m Single Scull race at the Head of the Barwon, in a combined Grade A, B and C time trial. She is Grade C. She finished 2nd overall and 1st in Grade C, outpacing rowers in all three grades.
