Mary-Grace Fitzgerald has been a key member of CGSAV Sport the last few weeks. Mary-Grace played a pivotal role in the Intermediate Indoor Cricket team’s recent Championship win. She was making runs all day and finished up as the day’s Most Valuable Player across the whole competition! She also played in the CGSAV Basketball team on Friday 26th April and helped the team finish runner up on the day.

Year 12

Elise has been a keen basketballer from Year 7 at St Aloysius. She has been a valuable member of the CGSAV Basketball team every year and has been determined to lead her team to a CGSAV Championship. Elise was dominant all day in the recent CGSAV Basketball tournament and played a key role in helping the Senior team progress through to the Grand Final.

Our ACS teams have been working hard in preparation for the upcoming Winter Season. Trials are still taking place with most teams finalised. We look forward to the upcoming winter season!

ACS Athletics

ACS Athletics training is in full swing on Wednesday & Friday mornings. It has been a great turn out so far but we are always looking for more students to get involved! The squad have been focusing on their starts (both short and long distance) as well as their throwing techniques. Training will continue on Wednesday & Friday mornings before school until the Athletics Championships which will be held on Monday 20th May 10am-5pm at Lakeside Stadium.

CGSAV Basketball

The girls did a fantastic job competing in the recent CGSAV Basketball tournament on Friday 26th April. Regardless of the level of the competition they consistently worked hard, shared the ball and had fun. It was impressive seeing them rapidly come together with so few trainings. As is the nature of such tournaments, players whose first sport is not basketball are asked to play and they are commended for their willingness to sign up and give it their all. The seniors and inters team finished second for the day after some competitive games. Well done to all who participated!
