Swimming Carnival
On Wednesday 14th February, St Aloysius held its annual House Swimming Carnival at Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre. Despite being a chilly morning, the sun eventually came out. The day was filled with house colour, powerful chants and outstanding competition in the water. The swimming carnival provided many opportunities for our students to shine with many impressive individual and team performances in the novelty events, 25m competition and 50m competition.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing our Year 7s dive into the water for the very first time! We hope they enjoyed their first House Swimming Carnival. The level of participation in the events continues to increase every year. Our students embraced the day and all who attended should be proud of their efforts throughout. The students' support for each other was amazing to witness and provided a great atmosphere all day long. We now look forward to the House Athletics Carnival later in Term 1.
Results from the day and individual champions will be announced at an upcoming whole school assembly.
