Music is powerful

VCE Music Soiree

Music is a powerful tool. Through participation in VCE Music, students develop confidence, speaking and listening skills, and social connections. Students learn to collaborate with others in accomplishing common goals. Music promotes creativity in problem solving and gives students unique opportunities to take risks and express themselves creatively.

Last week the VCE Music students showcased their technical and artistic skills as soloists and in ensembles at a soiree evening for family and friends. Students explored different genres and elements of music and created their own interpretation of the music to perform to an audience. We were entertained by the students who performed songs including ‘Burn’ from Hamilton, ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries, ‘My Immortal’ by Evanescence and many more enjoyable performances. Congratulations to all VCE Music students, led by their teacher Ms Rachel Valentine, who showcased their wonderful talents on this evening.
