From the Acting Principal
After acknowledging and celebrating Mother’s Day as a community, we remember the attributes of mothers and how they communicate with their children. The communication style modelled by mothers, is to listen with love and speak with love. Dr Marguerite Evans-Galea AM, co-founder of Women in STEMM Australia and Executive Director of the Industry Mentoring Network in STEM was guest speaker at our Mother’s Day Breakfast.

From Year 7
The Year 7 students were busy in Term 1 in Health and Physical Education. The topics discussed in Health created learning opportunities for the students to establish life skills in Water Safety and being Sun Smart.
From Year 8
Year 8 commenced this fortnight with the Year 8 Reflection Day where the focus this year was on reflecting on how to build positive friendships at school and beyond.
From Year 9
The teaching and learning program at St Aloysius College is innovative and exciting. Students in 9A have been learning about electrical circuits in Science. Initially they were excited just to connect the wires and see the light bulbs come on, but after some practice they could model simple appliances like hairdryers, radios and heaters.
From Year 10
As assessments, exams and subject selection are under way, our Year 10 students focus on preparing and continuing with their study routines.
From the Senior Years
Senior Students in Years 11 and 12 are entering a very busy period in the academic school year, as both Unit 1 and Unit 3 studies come to their conclusions. This is a time when study habits and dispositions are at the forefront of student minds. Moreover, it is a time when students draw on their inner purpose and goals for the year and, particularly for Year 12 students, what their aims are beyond St Aloysius College in 2024.
